For the logo of “TRK Ukraine”, a rainbow was chosen as a metaphor for the spirit of the channel plus the beauty and vastness of the country. The main channel logo had to work with and without the addition “TRK”, because eventually the addition “TRK” was supposed to be dropped, with the channel name only to be “UKRAINE”. Additionally, the rainbow idea was adapted to a whole variety of future TV channels: a news, a sports and a women’s channel. All of these channels got their own appropriate color coding.
